T&C exports as well as imports post impressive growth

China's import and export growth of textiles and apparel was very strong in November 2010, according to customs statistics. Exports registered US $19.02 billion, up 36.2 percent year on year, and an increase of 6.9 percent from the previous month.
Import performance was also impressive and eye-catching at $1.93 billion, to set a record high, representing an increase of 31.3 percent year on year, and 22.9 percent from the previous month.
From January to November 2010, exports were $186.62 billion, up 24.2 percent year on year, Imports stood at $18.12 billion, up 20.3 percent year on year.
China's import and export trend of textiles and apparel in November was beyond the expectation of most people in the industry, as the month was not a traditional high season month, but export growth rates of textiles and apparel both rose over 30 percent.
This indicates that textile and apparel exports have gradually changed from recovery increase to substantial growth.
According to previous years experience, the end of the year is another peak of exports, December exports are expected to maintain a rapid growth, so export increase in 2010 will remain at 20 percent or higher.
