Chinese benzene market stable

China's domestic pure benzene market remained stable on Wednesday, discussion atmosphere, however, looked dull. Benzene list price of Northwest Marketing Company under China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) registered an increase.
Ex-factory price of Dushanzi Petrochemical and Urumqi Petrochemical rose 400 Yuan to 7400 Yuan / ton in east China and ex-factory price rose 400 Yuan to 7600 Yuan / ton in southwest China.
Sales price of Lanzhou Petrochemical rose 200 Yuan to 7500 Yuan / ton in east China, sales price rose 300 Yuan to 7800 Yuan/ ton in Southwest China and sales price of Qingyang Petrochemical rose 300-400 Yuan to 7200-7500 Yuan / ton. Recently, the supply for sales was also small.
Asian benzene registered an increase of US $13 from the previous trading day to close at $1164-1167 / ton (FOB Korea) on February 15.
Chinese Benzene market was strong, market price in eastern China ranged between 8300-8400 Yuan / ton, price in South China hovered between 8200-8300 Yuan / ton and mainstream price in North China remained between 8300-8400 Yuan / ton.
China's domestic pure benzene market was stable and trended firmer, because of the increased prices from domestic refineries, but downstream sector showed strong wait-and-watch policy.
Market activity was not vigorous. Market players expected that short-term market conditions of domestic benzene might turn positive amid correction.
