Teijin Limited has been named for a second consecutive year to the Silver Class of The Sustainability Yearbook, the world's leading corporate-sustainability publication issued by the Swiss-based SAM Group. Teijin was rated particularly highly for its social contributions, risk management and innovation management.

Each year, the world's largest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index are invited to participate in SAM's Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The Yearbook lists only the top-scoring 15% companies in terms of economic, environmental and social performance in each of 58 industrial sectors.

The 409 companies listed this year were ranked in three classes – Gold, Silver and Bronze – along with separate awards to sector leaders and sector movers. The Yearbook's chemical sector listed 15 companies, among which were two in the Gold Class and six including Teijin in the Silver Class.

Teijin also is listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index, and other socially responsible investing indexes such as the FTSE4Good Index and the Ethibel Sustainability Index.
