Proposal to bestow 'MS Dhoni' with Khadi Ratna

The Jharkhand State Khadi and Cottage Industry Board, a profit-earning khadi board of India, has set forth a proposal to felicitate Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, with the honour of 'Khadi Ratna' for leading the country all the way to win the cricket world Cup, after 28 years.
Mr Jainandu, Chairman of the Board, while speaking to the media said that, by winning the much desired cup, the local boy has made the country and the state proud.
He said that, they would place this proposal before the Central Khadi Board, and if it consents to the same, the team India captain would be presented with the honour at a function in Ranchi.
The Jharjhand Board would even urge Dhoni to campaign for Khadi items like silk products which are in demand in the global markets, he added.
