OrganoClick bags Scandinavian Outdoor sustainability award

OrganoClick’s new biodegradable and fluorocarbon-free textile impregnation for consumer, Organotex textile waterproofing, has bagged the first prize in the sustainability category at the recently held Scandinavian Outdoor Awards in Germany. OrganoClick develops, produces, and markets functional materials based on environmentally friendly fibre chemistry.

A total of 20 products from Scandinavian outdoor brands have been nominated to the competition. Two winners are selected within the main categories ‘Overall’ and ‘Sustainability’, and recognitions are given to products within five sub-categories. The winners are selected of a jury consisting of international outdoor journalists and outdoor experts which perform practical tests of the products during a field trip.

Water repellency plays an important role for outdoor garments. Organotex textile waterproofing is an ecological friendly, PFOC-free, and fully biodegradable way of keeping your clothing highly water repellent. The jury also liked that it will perform well without having to apply heat to the treated garment when you let it dry for two days. The products are manufactured in Sweden.
