Titled 'Denim Talks', the show will host interesting talks on the recent developments, trends and innovations. Denim experts from the US, Europe and Hong Kong will be joining the show which will have discussion on various topics like 'Sustainable denim production – a comparison between China and Vietnam', 'Current trend in retail and the importance of sustainability for consumers and the buyers /designer and manufactures' and 'Growth through sustainable denim production'.
Leo Gu, the general manager of Prosperity Textile, will discuss the opportunities and challenges in the blue jeans world. He will share his first-hand experience about sustainable denim at Prosperity's two mills in Quanh Ning in Vietnam and Shaoguan in China, from the source and use of raw materials to new recycling techniques and from smart fabric development to the next gen denim apparel business models.
During the talk on 'Growth through sustainable denim production', Jordi Juani, sales director of Jeanologia, will discuss how sustainable production is allowing the sector to keep growing and the challenges faced in different Asian countries.
"After the success of the 3rd edition held in June 2018, we are now going ahead with the fourth edition in June 2019. The last show was graced by the presence of retailers and brands from around the world. We expect to surpass this performance of the second edition with the kind support of our esteemed exhibitors and visitors," Denimsandjeans said on its website.
A special traditional fashion show – Ao dai Denim Show, has been also scheduled on the very first day in the evening which will showcase the traditional dresses of Vietnam in the denim form.
"Sustainability is a need of the hour, companies have been hugely investing their resources and researches to create a pool of sustainable assets to save the environment and to promote sustainability, especially the denim industry. With an objective to take this entire discussion of sustainability one step ahead at an international platform, Denimsandjeans announced the theme of its 4th edition," the website explained. (RR)
