After a challenging, yet a positive 2019, Picanol looks forward to yet another successful year. The uncertain macroeconomic climate resulted in a worldwide slowdown in the machine market. Still, the textile machinery company, could perform fairly well despite the difficult conditions and we are now starting to see the first signs of recovery in the market.

On reflection, while 2019 was not easy, Picanol still managed to achieve a lot as a company. In June 2019, it participated in the 18th edition of ITMA, which took place in Barcelona. The new OmniPlus-i airjet weaving machine got some great feedback from all those present at the event and once again Picanol excelled as a technology leader in the sectors of airjet and rapier weaving machines, the company said in a press release.

Another positive note was their new campaign, building on their Let’s grow together theme, some children showed what the future will look like in terms of behaviour and habits. This concept conveys how everyone at Picanol wants to ensure that their customers are fully prepared for the future. The company also had the big milestones, the 100,000th airjet weaving machine was delivered and the 30,000th BlueBox machine control unit was also produced last year.
