Polygiene, a Swedish leader in odour control technologies has published results for its fourth quarter (Q4) FY20 ended on December 31, 2020.  Net sales for the quarter GREW 40 per cent to SEK 26.6 million (Swedish krona) compared to SEK 19.0 million in the same period prior fiscal. Company incurred a loss of SEK 3.2 million (Q4 FY19: SEK 1.8 million).

During Q4 FY20, Polygiene launched its newly developed formula of ViralOff with lifetime of garment washability, proving performance against SARS-CoV-2 with over 99 per cent reduction of microbes in the material within two hours, as company stated in a press release. Company’s operating loss was SEK 2.4 million (SEK 2.2 million), while loss after financial items was SEK 2.9 million (SEK 1.8 million).

Polygiene also acquired Addmaster Holdings Limited during the quarter. “The acquisition of addmaster is a milestone in polygiene history,” Ulrika Björk, CEO at Polygiene, said.

“2020 has been an unprecedented year for everyone. For Polygiene, it has been a very special year where we have created a unique position with ViralOff as a driving force,” Björk said in the release. “Moreover, we do not expect the momentum created in 2020 to come to an end. On the contrary, we see continued, strong demand for antimicrobial treatments from a sustainability perspective both to meet the challenges of the textile industry and to protect surfaces from bacteria and viruses in the post-coronavirus world.”
