Prof Dr. Gloy habilitated in June 2019 on the topic of ‘Industrie 4.0 in textile engineering’ at the RWTH Aachen. He also acts as an expert in numerous bodies giving lectures at the RWTH Aachen, the TU Chemnitz and Clemson University in South Carolina, US, on the topic of digitalisation in textile engineering. At the RWTH Aachen, Dr. Gloy accompanied numerous spin-off companies and is currently concentrating on the topic of Production On Demand – sewing mill 4.0 in Berlin.
He is the author of more than 270 articles and has given more than 80 presentations, primarily at international conferences. Most recently, Dr. Gloy worked as the managing scientific director of the Sächsischen Textilforschungsinstituts eV (STFI), Textile research institute Saxony in Chemnitz, Germany.
