The selection of companies as Top Workplaces is based solely on information obtained from anonymous employee surveys administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a top provider of employee-based engagement tools, said a press release by Roland DGA.
This year, the surveys – which take into consideration meaningfulness of work, leadership strength, training, workplace flexibility and diversity, social responsibility, and other key elements that contribute to employee satisfaction – were completed by 40,564 employees at the selected large, medium and small-sized companies throughout Orange County. Each employee responded to 24 statements that define their workplace environment and based on those responses, a total of 140 companies were chosen as “Top Workplaces” for 2018.
“Being a Top Workplace is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organisations that earn this award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results.”
“These companies’ leaders prioritise and carefully craft a healthy workplace that supports employee engagement. This recognition is an achievement these organisations have worked for, and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage,” added Claffey.
“Being recognised as an Orange County Top Workplace is a tremendous honour, especially because it’s based on feedback from the employees themselves,” said Andrew Oransky, president of Roland DGA. “The fact that we’ve received this award eight times reflects Roland DGA’s success in not only creating, but also maintaining a positive, collaborative and supportive work environment.” (PC)
