Sensient Imaging Technologies, a division of Sensient Technologies, will showcase its latest range of digital ink technologies, including a revolutionary high performance sublimation ink, at the 2017 SGIA Expo. The digital sublimation inks under the ElvaJet brand are meant for Piezo-based printers. The expo will be held during October 10-12 in New Orleans.

During the exhibition, Sensient will have on display many of their digital ink technologies and will take the opportunity that SGIA presents to introduce the latest and most advanced ink sets in the ElvaJet series of sublimation inks; including a preview of the next generation platform, ElvaJet Opal, set to launch in the coming months. With the introduction of this innovative sublimation range, along with new pigmented inks for printing directly on textiles, Sensient will once again set a new standard in textile printing with innovative technologies for today’s industrial print market.

The digital sublimation inks developed under the ElvaJet brand are formulated for use in Piezo-based printers for applications such as fashion, sports apparel, home textiles and sign and display. Sensient’s new sublimation inks provide a colour strength allowing minimised ink laydown to open up use of low weight transfer papers and also print in intense production runs without the need for maintenance cycles.

Sensient will also highlight its Sensijet SX platform, a highly versatile aqueous ink for printing onto nonporous and semi-porous substrates. Sensijet SX technology is the product of Sensient’s commitment to continuous innovation in the inkjet inks arena and a focus on extending the boundaries for industrial inkjet printing. The pigmented, water-based inkjet inks developed under this platform are odourless, VOC-free, and demonstrate excellent performance characteristics such as adhesion, durability, and jetting in a broad range of applications.

Sensient will be demonstrating the unique performance capabilities of both ElvaJet sublimation inks and Sensijet SX in New Orleans. (SV)
