The Turkish sales distributor of Japanese flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, Tetas Ic Ve Dis Ticaret A.S. is organising a private exhibition at its showroom in Istanbul in March.

“On display will be the cutting edge in computerised flat knitting technology, represented by the latest Wholegarment knitting machine and design system,” a Shima Seiki press release said.

On display will be a range of machines including the latest MACH2XS with original SlideNeedle on four needle beds and spring-loaded moveable sinkers.

According to Shima Seiki, the SRY series features a pair of loop presser beds that allows production of unique hybrid knit-weave fabrics as well as technical textiles.

“The SVR workhorse series resets the industry benchmark for shaping machines, while the SSR series offers industry-leading technology in an economical package,” it added.

Also on display will be the SIP flatbed inkjet printing machine that features a height adjustable printing head that allows for printing onto 3D textures, as well as finished products such as Wholegarment items.

Demonstrations will also be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of the company's 'Total Knitting System' concept.

With comprehensive support, the APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

“Photo-realistic simulation capability allows virtual sampling to minimise the need for actual sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost,” the company explained. (AR)
