Shima Seiki to participate in Simatex exhibition

Shima Seiki, leading computerised knitting machine manufacturer, will participate in the Simatex exhibition. Simatex, the international trade fair of textile machinery, will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from April 10 to 13, 2018, in booth 5N04. The expo gives new commercialisation channels and a direct communication means with the target audience.

The company will exhibit a wide range of its products, including proposals in seamfree Wholegarment knitting technology that offers an alternative to labourintensive manufacturing in the South American market. It will display the flag-ship MACH2XS with original SlideNeedle on four needle beds and springloaded moveable sinkers for knitting Wholegarment knitwear in all needles, as well as the MACH2S Vbed machine with special twinneedle configuration for knitting Wholegarment knitwear with every other needle. The SVR workhorse series resets the industry benchmark for shaped knitting, with the SVR123SP featuring a special loop presser bed that can produce hybrid inlay fabrics with both knit and weave characteristics. The SSR series offers industryleading technology in an economical yet reliable package, Made in Japan.

Demonstrations will be performed on the SDSONE APEX3 design system. At the core of the company’s “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 provides comprehensive support throughout the production supply chain, integrating production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design, to production and even sales promotion. Especially effective is the way APEX3 improves on the design evaluation process with its ultra-realistic simulation capability, whereby virtual samples minimise the need for actual samplemaking.
