The factory has been started after the group received an investment of approximately €11 million through two capital increases. With the commencement of production on modern lines, Sniace plans to access markets with higher added value and, therefore, higher margins, for hygienic applications, the company said on its website.

Since the start of the pulp mill in October 2016, and after a period of 3 years without industrial activity, Sniace has produced and marketed 34,000 tons of dissolving cellulose, 73,000 tons of lignins and 330 GWh of electricity.

The start-up of the viscose fibre factory will allow Sniace to reach 100 per cent of its industrial capacity in its different business segments: cellulose, viscous fibre, energy and lignins, maximising, therefore, the Group’s operational and financial performance.
