Staple Cotton Cooperative Association (Staplcotn), one of the largest producer-owned cotton marketing cooperatives in the US, has acquired a 50 per cent stake in Gary Beall Enterprises, a manufacturer and supplier of natural cotton fibres. Gary Beall conducts business as TJ Beall Company. Mississippi based Wildwood Gin owns the rest of the stake in TJ Beall.
The acquisition was completed on March 31, 2018. Founded in 1921, Staplcotn provides a range of services to its members, including domestic and export marketing, cotton warehousing, and agricultural financing.
TJ Beall Company is a manufacturer and supplier of an array of natural cotton fibres for the nonwovens, traditional textiles, technical textiles and paper industries. Currently, TJ Beall produces and supplies recycled cotton fibres, greige premium cotton fibres and an assortment of absorbent cotton raw materials. (KD)
