Germany based Sympatex Technologies will share developments for a 100 per cent recycled Sympatex membrane, for the first time at the Lineapelle trade show to be held September 20-22, 2016 in Milan. The company will also display high-performance technologies as well as new laminate developments for the footwear segment at the leather goods fair.

According to Sympatex, there will be a distinct improvement of the eco-balance with its 100 per cent recycled Sympatex membrane, which is PTFE-free and PFC-free.

“The recycled membrane is made from polyether-ester that represents no health hazard and can be recycled according to standard practice,” Sympatex said.

In the process of producing 100 per cent recycled membrane, the membrane waste is completely reprocessed, whereby properties of the membrane can be offered without any noticeable loss of quality.

“When laminating the 100 per cent recycled membrane with a 100 per cent recycled PES lining or outer fabric, it is possible to create a completely recycled mono-material, the Sympatex PES laminate,” it added. (AR)
