New product categories include endurance materials seen as an alternative to Spandex, wool-synthetic knitted fabric blends designed for temperature regulation through an evaporative cooling process, eco-friendly fabric with stretch qualities similar to Elastene, but with better breathability, fast dryness, durability and friendlier to the environment, and functional and natural fibre products made.
"It is exciting to have Taiwan's leading textile brands to present their latest sustainable textiles and performance fabrics. As the global hub for functional fabric production, Taiwan accounts for 50 per cent of the global Output value of all functional fabrics, making Taiwan the world's largest functional fabric production base," added Wang.
At the exhibition, Evertex Fabrinology revealed wool-synthetic knitted fabric blends designed for temperature regulation through an evaporative cooling process to help the body maintain homeostasis creating optimal comfort utilizing effective thermo-regulation capabilities, wicking and quick dry management from its polyester fibres.
Singtex Industrial showcased its fabric line with stretch qualities similar to Elastene, but with better breathability, fast dryness, durability and environmental friendliness with a mechanical stretch, thermoplastic engineered polymer and side-by-side bi-component fibres, all with a variety of options and price points.
Tex-Ray Industrial showcased their functional and sustainable natural-fibre blended fabric collection developed with the help of advanced, proprietary technology. Toung Loong Textile presented its SpringFil fabric providing a comfortable, non-stick and airy stretch made for ease of movement, all while using little or no spandex. (RR)
