The company will display Deltapeak, a next-generation fabric that offers a well-balanced combination of softness, durability, elasticity, ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency. Wind-blocking properties can be added utilising its dense, flat-knit surface. Nylon-based Deltapeak also has outstanding abrasion resistance.
Octa, a polyester fibre that has a unique, highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre, will also be displayed. Octa Neo is a multilayer fibre that combines Octa fibre with various chemical and natural staple fibres.
Teijin will present Eco Storm, a waterproof and breathable material made from chemically recycled polyester that is produced with Teijin’s Eco Circle fibres using close-loop recycling process. Eco Storm, which comprises a laminated structure with a thin polyester film, also can be recycled into new polyester material.
The company will exhibit fluorocarbon-free water-repellent materials at the expo. Fluorine build-up is thought to be harmful to the human body and the environment. Teijin Frontier develops durable and water-repellent fluorocarbon-free materials as part of its commitment to environmental protection.
Teijin Frontier’s polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, Solotex, will also be a part of the show. It is highly soft, stretchable, shape retaining, and durable. As a partially bio-derived material, it also helps to conserve fossil resources. (GK)
