Teijin showing high performance fabrics at Performance Day

Teijin Frontier will showcase a range of high-performance fabrics for sports and daily use at Performance Days, which takes place at MTC World of Fashion in Munich, Germany on November 3-4, 2015 at stand 112.
“The Teijin Frontier stand will showcase products that meet diverse demands for sports and daily wear by combining high performance and comfort,” a press release from its parent Teijin Group stated.
“The stand will also exhibit Teijin Frontier's environmentally friendly solutions that help to conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions,” the press release added.
Among various products, it will show Deltapeak, which is Teijin Frontier's next-generation fabric offering softness, durability, elasticity, ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and snag resistance.
Another product is the lightweight, thin and three-layer fabric made with water-repellent polyester fibres achieving excellent anti-perspiration comfort through enhanced absorption and quick drying.
The Eco Storm is a high-performance material that is both waterproof and breathable and has recycled polyester that has been laminated to a thin but highly durable polyester film, making it an ideal eco-friendly fabric.
The Octa polyester fibre has a unique and highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre, with advantages of rapid sweat absorption and drying and useful bulkiness.
Teijin Frontier will also display Solotex, its polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, which is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable and since it is a partially bio-derived material, it helps conserve fossil resources.
“The products are environmentally friendly materials that can be recycled with Teijin's Eco Circle, the world's first closed-loop recycling system, which turns used polyester into new fibres,” the company informed. (AR)
