Netherlands based producer of specialty textile chemicals Tanatex Chemicals has been acquired by China based Zhejiang Transfar Co. Ltd, a business unit of Transfar Chemicals.

According to Transfar, the acquisition of Tanatex enables both groups to provide its global customers with a broader and enhanced product portfolio and become leaders in specialised textile auxiliaries.
Transfar will also use Tanatex Chemicals' global footprint to accelerate growth of the combination and benefit from Transfar Chemicals' number one position in the large Asian textiles auxiliaries market.
It will also optimise production between Tanatex Chemicals' location in the Netherlands and Thailand and Transfar Chemicals' locations in China.
“Together we will be in a better position to support our globally active client base and their growth,” CEO at Tanatex Chemicals, Marco de Koning said.
Senior vice president, strategy at Transfar Chemicals John Zhu too said, “With Tanatex Chemicals, we will take a major step in the execution of our strategy to grow our textile chemicals business globally.” (AR)
