Turkiye’s economic confidence index, a composite index that encapsulates consumers' and producers' evaluations, expectations and tendencies about the general economic situation, increased by 1.3 per cent in January this year to 99.3 from 98.1 in December last year. The consumer confidence index increased by 4.6 per cent in January to 79.1.The manufacturing industry confidence index increased by 1.8 per cent in the month and became 103.4, an official release said.
Seasonally-adjusted confidence index decreased by 1 per cent in the retail trade sector compared to the figure in the previous month.
