The new manufacturing site would have facilities for improving the quality of fabric and designing of new fabric for the armed forces, enforcement agencies, producing workwear and expanding production from small pilot batches to bulk production, according to an Ukranian news agency report.

Rip-stop (TK warrior), Pixel type 3, type 4, oxford, tarpaulin and belt braid, are among the different types of fabric that will be produced at the new facility, the report said.

The opening of the new manufacturing unit will help Tekstil-Kontakt to set up an entire value chain for making military uniforms—from processing cotton to stitching finished items. This will result in production of quality finished products at reduced cost, and thereby decrease dependence of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies on Russian manufacturers.
