Weak upstream pushes down Asian MEG last week

Weak upstream energy prices in the region pushed down MEG prices in Asia in the last week ended Jan 22.

In SE Asia, average prices contracted by US$ 5/ton or 0.90 per cent and were assessed at US$ 550/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In India, average prices fell by US$ 5/ton and were quoted at US$ 550/ton in the last week, down 0.90 per cent as against its prior week.

In China, average prices reduced by US$ 10/ton and were offered at US$ 540/ton in the last week, a decrease of 1.82 per cent from its earlier week.
