The webinar titled ‘Join the Revolution in Textile Finishing’, to be held in association with Fibre2Fashion, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 6.30 p.m. India time.
For mills, Baldwin’s non-contact precision spray technology would help in saving 1,000 litres of wastewater daily and a 43 per cent reduction in electricity consumption.
The Webinar would be conducted by Dr. Wesley Clements, global leader of textile finishing engineering and R&D at Baldwin. Dr. Clements’ career has been focused on the design of automated converting equipment for the textile, nonwoven and flexible packaging sectors. Since he joined the US-headquartered company in 2017, he has been instrumental in driving the textile technology revolution that is non-contact spray. Originally from Ireland, Wesley is based in Sweden and has a PhD in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University, Belfast.
Ushering in the future of fabrics, giving brands a competitive edge and consumers a better choice, Baldwin is creating a revolution in textile manufacturing with eco-friendly precision spray application and precision moistening systems that can achieve single- or dual-sided application of water and chemicals to fabrics and other web-, roll- or sheet-fed surfaces – systems that redefine how fabric and other materials are produced.
Baldwin’s solutions allow textile makers to cut chemicals and use significantly less water while achieving superior moistening, laminating, antimicrobial and waterproofing results using Durable Water Repellents (DWR) and other chemistries.
