According to the statistics of China Textile Industrial Association, yarn output in August reached 1.695 million tons, up 0.25 percent over last month. Of the total yarn categories, output of cotton yarn was 1.3326 million tons.
Normally, yarn output moves up after Spring Festival. This year in July, it witnessed a steep plunge. However, experts anticipate that after September, it just might grasp a quicker pace.
Form January to August this year, yarn output touched 12.70 million tons, up 18.69 percent against same period of last year. Of the total range, cotton yarn output was 10.01 million tons, an increase of 19.52 percent.
Shandong and Jiangsu provinces are the main yarn production zones which accounts for over 50 percent of the total output.
