After its successful debut in 2006, the second edition of the STRP Festival was held from November 22 through November 25, this year, in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. The STRP Festival is one of the largest art & technology festivals in Europe, presenting a four-day multidisciplinary programme with more than 120 artworks, performances, and artists.
Theatre and performances, workshops and lectures, there were so many events at STRP that the visitors were offered wide range of choices to suit all tastes. One of the major attractions was the premiere performance IM-agined by the world-famous Belgian ballet group Joji Inc. In this performance, the dancers wear light-emitting garments made of high-tech Philips Lumalive fabrics, which function as a theatrical means of communication.
Philips Lumalive technology enables businesses to attract the attention of customers, clients and other target groups in an exciting, direct and distinctive way.
The new concept relates to clothing for promotions and events. Special Lumalive LED technology has been integrated into the fabric, turning the clothes into a 'live' display or billboard on which any given text, animation or (moving) images can be displayed – in every colour of the rainbow.
