SURAT EXPO 2006 – where synthetic fabrics, home textile, yarns catch visitor's fancy

What better venue city could The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) think off other than Surat, in South Gujarat that contributes to almost 10 percent of the total Indian synthetic exports at Rs9068 crores for 2004-05.

Surat Expo 2006 will be held on January 7, 2006 and will showcase Indian fabrics, home textiles, machinery and yarns

Among fabrics one will get to learn more about Polyester, rayon, nylon and blended lightweight fabrics, both dyed and printed.

There will be fancy, synthetic fabrics in georgette, chiffon, crepe, taffeta, cambric, crepe-de-chine, voile, habutae, dobby, gingham, yoryu, jacquards, burn-outs etc. featuring at different stalls.

Other items will include machine and hand embroidered fabrics in sequins, metallic stripes, pearl, bead work etc. high value fancy sarees, fabrics for bridal dresses and fabrics for apparels, suits-dupatta, ready to stitch dresses.

Items from the made-up category including exquisite scarves, stoles, dupattas, odhanies and pareos etc. will catch attention of all visitors for sure.

In the home textiles segment high quality home décor fabrics – upholstery, furnishings, bed sheets, drapes, curtains, tapestry etc. will feature in all prominence.
And last but no the least, fancy yarns, Lurex and metallic yarns, filament yarns shall hold court on their own during the Surat Expo 2006.

Surat Expo 2006 will be staged at Indoor Stadium near Lourdes ConventGirls' School, Athwa Lines from 9.30AM to 5PM.
