The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) is organising an exclusive 'Fashion Show' on 7th Jan'06 in connection with its 'Surat Expo' exhibition being held in Surat.
The Fashion Show is being presented in coordination with the National Institute of Fashion Designing (NIFD) featuring some of the latest collections from the exclusive range of fabrics that are produced and exported from Surat.
The Event will be preceded by an 'Award Presentation Function', for honouring the leading exporters of Textiles from this Region.
Pankaj Joshi, the Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation will be the Chief Guest, and Sushil Solanki, the Commissioner of Central Excise and Customs, Surat will be the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
The Surat Expo 2006 has been designed to provide an excellent platform to the representatives of the Buying Houses, Retail/Departmental Chain Stores, Importers & Garment Makers to interact with the leading manufacturers & exporters of synthetic textiles in Surat.
The one-day Expo is expected to draw a large number of Textile Business Visitors including the Fashion & Textile Designers.
Meanwhile Surat exported Synthetic textiles valued over Rs.9681 crores during last year and it is expected that this performance will be exceeded in the current year.
