Vijay Kumar Aggarwal is Chairman, AEPC

AEPC (Apparel Export Promotion Council) announces that Vijay Kumar Aggarwal is the Founder, Promoter & Chairman of the Creative Group has been appointed as new Chairman.

He started Manufacturing and Export of Ready made garments with 25 machines in 1974.He is an Engineer from VJTI and is of 55 years old.

He has also led the group as one of the pioneering firms to diversify into manufacturing and exports of Made Ups and Home Textiles, Exporting to leading customers in the USA and Europe.

His Group has entered the Indian Market through its home linen products under the brand name “Portico” which has become a leading player in the industry.

He was chairman of M/s Clothing Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) Mumbai. During his chairmanship more than 25 garments exporters had set up their plants in the zone.

He is a member of Executive Committee of M/s Apparel Export Promotion Council for last 20 years. He has been chairman of many committees of AEPC including finance and quota advisory committee.

He was a member of many delegations of Commerce and Textiles Ministries of Government of India and visited many countries including Japan, USA, China etc for promotion of exports from India and upgradation of manufacturing process and technology.

He is member of many social and charitable institutions for social welfare and running many schools, colleges, hostels etc.

AEPC is the Council is a nodal agency sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India entrusted with the dual responsibility of monitoring garment exports quotas and promotion of exports of readymade garments from India.
