Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organized the Indian Home Textiles Expo and the Indian Jewellery show, which concluded yesterday at Noida, New Delhi.
More than 2000 enquiries were generated from among 480 participating companies, which may result in business within 4-6 months, reports the council.
The expo has generated business worth Rs428 crore according to council.
IFFTEX (Indian Furnishings, Floorings & Textiles Expo) 2006, provided display of an extensive range of products including home furnishings, bed linen, table linen, durries and curtains and draperies.
The jewellery expo featured kundankari, filigree work, folk and tribal jewellery, bead and metal jewellery, temple and silver jewellery.
More than 2,200 buyers and their representatives came from the USA, the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, Cyprus, Romania, Israel, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, as well as the Middle-East, Scandinavia, Benelux and Latin America.
