Wian Heath is new GM of Wool Testing Bureau South Africa

The Board of the Wool Testing Bureau South Africa has announced that Mr Wian Heath has been appointed in the position of General Manager (GM). The appointment will be effective from 1 July 2006.
Wian is a mechanical engineer (B.Eng (Mech.)) and and holds an additional degree in commerce (B.Com). He has been with Wool Testing Bureau for five years and filled the position of Technical Manager for the past three years.
During this period he has gained valuable experience in the field of wool metrology and the wool industry in general.
The WTB SA Board has expressed its full confidence in the abilities of Mr Heath to promote the operations of the Company.
Wian is also well known to staff within AWTA Ltd, having visited our laboratories on several occasions, and through frequent communication over technical and engineering matters.
On behalf of all our staff the Managing Director of AWTA Ltd has also congratulated Wian on his appointment.
AWTA Ltd has a long association with WTBSA. Together with the New Zealand Wool Testing Authority each is a member of the Independent Laboratories Round Trial Group, which regularly provides IWTO with reports on the technical performance of the three laboratories.
The members of the ILRT Group certify in excess of 40 percent of the world's wool production. They regularly interchange technical information and collaborate on technological innovations to wool testing systems.
