Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) is taking aggressive measures to expand export markets and provide stable trade facilities.
Organization is also actively participating in international fairs and events besides researching the future global trends.
Recently, an executive delegation headed by Vijay Agarwal, Chairman, AEPC, was at the IMB-World of Textile Processing Fair at Cologne, to explore the joint-venture opportunities in technical fields.
Agarwal said, "Although our apparel exports have crossed $8.2 billion during 2005-2006, we feel that by technological advancement, capacity addition and productivity enhancement we can easily double this figure in less than five years."
IMB Germany AEPC boasted a significant presence at the Hong Kong Fashion Fair with 120 stalls.
AEPC is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India entrusted with the dual responsibility of monitoring garment exports quotas and promotion of exports of readymade garments from India.
