Amalia Lopez joins Institute for Supply Management

Amalia Lopez recently joined Institute for Supply Management (ISM) as director of communications and editor of Inside Supply Management magazine, ISM's monthly publication. She leads both the editorial team and ISM's in-house creative production team.
“I am thrilled to be working for ISM — this is my dream job,” Lopez says. “Not only do I play a major role in the production of a prestigious, internationally-recognized magazine, use my business acumen and education on a daily basis, but also work with a terrific team of writing and design professionals,” she says.
Lopez has more than 20 years of experience in publishing and public relations and as a professional writer/editor, and is a 2005 graduate of Arizona State University's W. P. Carey MBA Executive Program.
Prior to joining ISM, Lopez was the communications team leader for the State Compensation Fund of Arizona. Other positions Lopez has held include editor/associate publisher at McMurry Publishing in Phoenix and public relations manager for the City of Mesa's Economic Development Office.
As the oldest and largest supply management institute in the world, the mission of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) is to lead supply management.
ISM defines supply management as the identification, acquisition, access, positioning and management of resources the organization needs or potentially needs in the attainment of its strategic objectives.
