Hyderabad expects textile processing unit at cost of Rs 300 crore

A state-of-the-art textile processing unit, a proposed plan at Hyderabad-Hitech Textile Park is likely to set up at Rs 300 crore investments.

The plan is to be developed by Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) in association with over 125 weaver entrepreneurs from Mahabubnagar district in Andhra Pradesh.

IL&FS and the entrepreneurs have recently reached to an agreement to enhance national textile center at the proposed site.

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was also made his presentation on the occasion.

The Indian Government has given green signal for a proposal to provide financial support to expand the infrastructure for the proposed textile park that is likely to cost about Rs 28.18 crore.

New Delhi has announced to provide Rs 18.48 crore, whereas the State Government will offer an support of Rs 4.73 crore for the development of infrastructure.

More than 300 shuttles-less power loom weaving units at a cost of Rs 150 crore would be established at the park, which is expected to be fully functional by the month of June, 2006.
