In July the five year Doha Development Round negotiations were suspended following the collapse of Ministerial level negotiations in Geneva.
Calls to resume the negotiations as soon as possible have come from various forums around the world but the future of the negotiations remains highly uncertain.
On 18 October from 16:30-17:30 Geneva time (current time in Geneva) WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy will host an on-line chat to discuss this suspension, the prospects for relaunching the talks and the future of the WTO and the global trading system. Mr. Lamy would welcome the opportunity to hear YOUR views and take YOUR questions during this chat.
Please note that to keep the event manageable there is a limit of 500 participants, on a first-come first-served basis. The transcript will be available after the event in English, French and Spanish.
