November 14, 2006 U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.
As Congress comes back to Washington after the November 7th election to deal with unfinished business and begin determining its leadership and agenda for the next congress, the Chamber and the U.S.-Peru Trade Coalition invites you to come make a personal difference on Capitol Hill.
By joining our efforts to ensure passage of the Peru-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (PTPA) you will send a strong message that continued engagement in the trade area is vital to U.S. competitiveness and economic growth.
A vote is expected during the “lame duck” session between the election and the end of the year and members of congress want to hear from their constituents who have a stake in the treaty.
The passage of the PTPA is critical for U.S. engagement in South America and offers tremendous growth and opportunity for businesses across the country. We urge you to come to Washington and play a key role in getting this important legislation passed.
