Slowdown of Global Manufacturing Expansion Continued in October. Sharp Easing in Cost Inflation Pressures as Oil Prices Fell Further.
The ongoing slowdown of global manufacturing sector expansion continued in October. Rates of growth in output and new orders both eased to fourteen-month lows.
Of the major industrial regions covered by the global PMI survey, rates of increase in production eased in the US, Japan, China and the UK. Growth held up at an elevated level in the Eurozone, with the rate of expansion posting a modest gain.
