Several diagrams also illustrate the success story of the certificates issued worldwide since the introduction of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Using a number of interactive time lines, those interested can also follow the most important developments relating to the criteria catalogue, marketing/PR and general milestones.

The category “Tests for harmful substances” includes a description of the Oeko-Tex product classes as well as the latest version of the criteria catalogue, including the option to download the limit value table currently in force.

The biologically active and flame-retardant products accepted by the Oeko-Tex Association are also listed here.

Under the menu item “Certification”, flow charts illustrate the usual procedure for initial certification, renewal of certificates and extensions to existing Oeko-Tex certificates, including detailed additional information and files to download.

The elements of the contract for Oeko-Tex certification and their legal implications are also described in detail. Other pages provide information on the duties and responsibilities relating to a valid Oeko-Tex certificate within supply relationships and operational use throughout the textile manufacturing chain.

The various search options for products with Oeko-Tex certification under the menu item “Sources of supply” have also been simplified and designed to be more user-friendly.

Here, as previously, companies in the textile industry can search for potential suppliers with certified source materials in specific world regions and countries, and display their entire product range, if this has been entered in the Oeko-Tex shopping guide.

A specific search option for known company names and a directory of Oeko-Tex certified brands are also available. The validity check for existing certificates by entering a known test number has also been continued.

Extensive coverage is given to the menu item “Use of the label” regarding the use of the Oeko-Tex label by licence holders for product labelling and company advertising.

The website describes the advantages and prerequisites for this type of use of the label, presenting in detail the specifications of the standard relating to the correct graphical and linguistic design of the test label, pointing out that the label “Confidence in textiles” is a protected trade mark.

These range from brochures and flyers to training documents and individual PR-support. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, companies can also book the hot air balloon “Oeko-Tex Number One” for their company events and competitions.
