Ascot seeks consent to use woven fabrics, post-DR-CAFTA

• Elmendorff tear strength must range from 2.95 lbs. to 3.61 lbs. and average 3.28 lbs. • Tensile strength must range from 58.477 lbs. to 67.967 lbs and average 64.433 lbs.
The quantity required by Ascot is a minimum of 200,000 linear yards (182,880 linear meters/274,000 square meters) annually, said quantity likely in increase in future.
We have inquired of the various textile associations in the DR-CAFTA region as well as individual mills known to us to be capable of weaving filament polyester fabric as to the availability of the subject fabric.
None has indicated or demonstrated an ability to supply the fabric in accordance with the specifications and performance criteria set forth herein. We therefore ask that the subject fabric be added to DR-CAFTA Annex 3.25.
