ISM plans Global Supply Management Meet next month

Global sourcing experts will gather September 20-21, 2007 in Mesa, Ariz. for a Global Supply Management Conference hosted by Tempe, Ariz.-based Institute for Supply Management (ISM). The conference, “Positioning Your Supply Organization in the Global Marketplace” will include eight general sessions:

• The Global Sourcing Decision
• Location and Qualification of Global Sources
• Global Suppliers Gain Your Trust
• Open Discussion of Current Best Practices in Global Sourcing
• Sourcing Labor in Low Cost Countries
• Global Sourcing Operations: Taking the Plunge
• Trade Finance and The Supply Chain: A Survey of Shippers

The Global Supply Management Conference offers real-world strategies for supply managers who are currently immersed in global strategies or those contemplating a move to the global arena.

Session presenters include practitioners, researchers and a senior editor from a leading trade journal. All presenters possess expert knowledge that spans both the manufacturing and service sectors.

Global Supply Management Conference general sessions and networking activities will take place at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa. A pre-conference seminar, “Globalization: Its Impact on Supply Management,” will be held September 18-19, 2007.
