ACIMIT to aggressively promote members at ITMA

CEMATEX is all set to organize15th edition of ITMA (International Textile Machinery Trade Fair) this year. Held once every 4 years, ITMA is renowned as the biggest Trade Fair in the world for this sector. ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) is a private national body, promoting the Italian textile machinery sector and support its activities aggressively. The Italian attendance at ITMA Trade Fairs is organised by ACIMIT.

Talking to Fibre2fashion, ACIMIT Director, Federico Pellegata, revealed, “A total of 370 Italian companies will be exhibiting at ITMA 2007, which will be held September 13 - 20 in Munich. This significant presence represents a great success for the entire Italian textile machinery industry. Furthermore, ACIMIT has organized an advertising campaign through a variety of sector publications, promoting Italian state-of-the-art technology and buying advertising space on industry publications and on site at the trade fair. ACIMIT will also hold a press conference during the fair, on September 14.”

He explained that ACIMIT supports members at ITMA by assisting with registration to the event and ensuring uniformity with ITMA regulations. ACIMIT also be on hand with its own stand, HE0.14, providing further logistical support for its associated members.

For future events, Director said, “By year's end, the promotional program ACIMIT has realized in collaboration with ICE (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) foresees several additional technological symposiums; to be held in India, Mexico, Pakistan and Vietnam.”

Pellegata informed that promotional activities for 2008 were not planned, yet. However, he added, “A variety of technology seminars have been programmed abroad, with training courses in Italy for foreign technicians. 2008 will also be marked by several noteworthy trade fair events. Among these there is ITMA Asia + CITME, to be held in Shanghai in July 2008, at which ACIMIT will once again be present to assist Italian operators.”
