Final arrangements for the TTNA's seventh Annual Conference are well under way, with only six weeks to go until the opening. Earlybird rates are available until 31st July which offer a substantial saving.
Whether it be sporting grounds & equipment, mining, processing and storage of our precious minerals and resources, or medical/hygiene products for the elderly, the technical and nonwoven textiles industry is the industry which increasingly plays a role in our lives.
Speakers: The Mayor of Albury, Cr Amanda Duncan-Strelec, will open the conference. Shadow Minister for Industry, Innovation, Science & Research, Senator Kim Carr, will address the delegates during the conference. All speakers' details are listed on the TTNA website: • Ian Butler from INDA will once again deliver a global view of the nonwoven industry, this time with a specific view on India. • Attorney and IP lawyer, Adrian Trioli will speak on the need for intellectual property rights in the textiles industry. • Michael Coates from INC Corporation and Vanessa Dwyer from TenCate Australia will speak on specialist manufacturing innovations. • Dr Peter Cookson from Deakin University and Dr Andrew Poole from CSIRO, will respectively present the R&D findings on textiles used in medical and aged car applications. • A Melbourne Water joint project with CSIRO Textile & Fibre Technology on the degradation of textile covers for anaerobic ponds, will be presented.
