In the first seven months of 2007, Macao's total value of imports grew by 15.6% year-on-year. In terms of broad economic categories, the value of imports of Capital goods, Consumer goods rose by 41.7%, 17.7% and 16.6% respectively, whereas that of Raw materials & semi-manufactures registered a year-on-year decrease of 0.3%.
Moreover, Macao's main suppliers of imported goods still concentrated in the Asian region. The value of imports from Mainland China and Hong Kong, comprising 53.0% of the total, rose by 8.6% and 16.1% respectively year-on-year.
