As per Use-based classification, the Sectoral growth rates in July 2007 over July 2006 are 9.0% in Basic goods, 12.9% in Capital goods and 4.7% in Intermediate goods.
The Consumer durables and Consumer non-durables have recorded growth of (-)3.2% and 8.4% respectively, with the overall growth in Consumer goods being 5.3%.
Alongwith the Quick Estimates of IIP for July 2007, the indices for June 2007 have undergone the first revision and those for April 2007 have undergone the second (final) revision in the light of the updated data received from the source agencies. There are no significant revisions in the indices for April 2007 and June 2007.
