Conference on development in emerging markets on Sept 19

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) will hold its 2007 Global Corporate Citizenship Conference on September 19, 2007 in Washington, D.C., which will focus on advancing the role of that corporate citizenship plays in economic progress for developing and under-developed countries.
Speakers will address the challenges and benefits of investing in emerging markets and their experiences with public-private partnerships that have successfully created businesses and have helped local communities. Panelists will break down region-specific issues in emerging markets across the globe.
Keynote remarks will be given by Richard Holbrooke, Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and current president and CEO of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS.
