A group of representatives of few US based companies dealing in cotton has planned to visit and work with their Vietnamese partners in order to boost cotton trade in the country between October 14-16. Vietnam has emerged as the one of the main importers of cotton.
This trip is organized by Cotton Council International (CCI) together with Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), Vietnam National Textile and Garment group (VINATEX) and Vietnam Spinning Association.
During the tour, both sides would discuss issues related to cotton trading, farming legislation, markets, products and cooperation.
The US delegation would include leaders of famous cotton companies and organizations from the US, like American Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA), America's Cotton Marketing Cooperatives (AMCOT), American Cotton Producers (ACP), New York Board of Trade – Cotton Committee, Supima and Cotton Incorporated.
