Detailed Product Information: The subject of this request is certain woven fabric of polyester and spandex. After the fabric is woven but while it is still in a greige state, the fabric is double brushed to give the surface of the fabric face a soft, almost fuzzy texture.
Although the polyester yarn used to weave the subject fabric is 100 percent filament yarn, the brushing process breaks some of the filaments and U.S. Customs and Border Protection considers such brushed fabrics to be classifiable as though the broken filaments were in fact staple fiber yarns.
