BCH Automotive Textiles - success outlines need felt by industry

Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Asst. GM, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. talked about the issues of quality and price and also discussed various other related parameters from an OEMs' perspective. The Indian market perspective on the automotive industry was presented by Mr. Samir Gupta, MD, BCH.
The workshop offered a good blend of the practical, technical and theoretical know-how to the delegates and provided them a unique opportunity to understand the industry and its requirements together with the market potential in each category.
The workshop witnessed presence of personnel from all segments of the supply chain, be it an OEM, vendor, processor, raw material supplier or the machinery supplier. The participants gave an overwhelming response and were of the view that such workshops need to be conducted frequently on various issues of concern considering the growing technical textile and nonwoven industry of India.
The efforts have been remarkable as they are directed to grow the awareness of the entrepreneurs about newer products and related technologies of this sector. The delegates also got a chance to discuss upon their doubts and queries and besides to network with the other stakeholders from the supply chain. The workshop proved to be an excellent interface between the experts from the industry and the participants.
