In the first eleven months of 2007, Macao's total value of imports grew by 18.5% year-on-year. In terms of broad economic categories, the value of imports of Capital goods and Consumer goods rose by 41.5%, 25.3% respectively, whereas the value of imports of Raw materials & semi-manufactures registered a year-on-year decrease of 2.3%.
Macao's main suppliers of imported goods still concentrated in the Asian region. The value of imports from Mainland China and Hong Kong, comprising 52.6% of the total in the first eleven months of 2007, rose by 11.9% and 16.0% respectively year-on-year.
