Green Label Plus Carpet complies with REACH

Preregistration requirements for the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) program show that chemicals involved in The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Green Label Plus Carpet comply with REACH regulations.
Only two chemicals from the Green Label Plus program, Methybiphenyl (CAS# 28652-72-4) and 4-phenylcyclohexene (CAS#4994-16- 5), are not preregistered under the looming REACH program deadlines. The two items not preregistered are not listed on Annex 17 Substances of Very High Concern list and will be below the general limit of 1 metric tonne annually.
Proprietary topical treatments and other substances used in the manufacture of carpet may still require preregistration.
